Cellular Series
Generated with algorithms that include a bit of unpredictability, this series is about creating unique variations by embracing randomness. Taking a cue from nature, where genetic diversity increases resilience, no two pieces are identical.
Cellular Earrings
Inspired from japanese lanter pods, these randomized pod forms are generated via computer scripts. The forms are wrapped with an open-cell wire structure, creating a hollow structure. Cast in white and yellow gold, earring pairs are mirrored forms.
Cellular Rings
The permeable cellular structure of this design creates a light-weight and extremely rigid hollow form with exposed interior spaces. Reflecting ideas of genetic variation, no two rings are identical, yet all are generated from the same code. The rings are printed in wax, then cast in 14k white gold. Some have been filled with ruby spheres that roll around inside the ring.
